Participating in Suzanne’s classes involves learning & supportive work with all aspects of mind, body & soul. She consistently incorporates creativity & education with body movement. She consistently cues transitions between movements which is helpful for all levels of practitioners. She naturally blends energy medicine while teaching you how it heals the body, so one may learn & then also do the work for themselves independently.
Suzanne is thoughtful & deliberate with offering inspirational narratives, imparting practitioners with a sense of empowerment & motivation, for both self & the collective.
Her desire to learn & passion to lead are evidenced in the details she weaves into each class. I was lucky enough to be one of Suzanne Barton's first online students in her free yoga classes offered after the pandemic. I watched her grow continually, changing up each class with something she was inspired with during the week. She is a dedicated and knowledgeable instructor with an easy-going demeanor. Suzanne gave selflessly of herself each week for a year and a half and found new things to add to keep the class ever-changing and interesting. She included affirmations, meditations, readings, and loving energy to each and every class.
Even though I groaned when she did balance poses, (which I had been struggling with for several years in my own practice), her continuous gentle teaching manner allowed me to successfully achieve my new-found balance. I can now maintain an upright position while putting on my pants in the morning and again at night without assistance from the bed or table! And of course, I can now stay on my feet during balance poses.
I highly recommend anyone either new to yoga or very experienced to give Suzanne's classes a try, because I'm sure you will feel renewed and refreshed! It's obvious she loves what she does, and she radiates love and compassion. You'll feel her warmth from head to toe.

If you’re looking for a yoga teacher who is well versed in the anatomy along with compassion, care, and the side of humor, Suzanne is the person for you. Because Suzanne is also a physical therapy assistant, yoga teacher, and mental healthcare worker, she is so remarkable! I love her practices and her meditations are something that transcends you to another world. I highly recommend her for your yoga needs.
