1990: A.S. in Allied Health for a Physical Therapy Assistant degree which led to a full time career as a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant, for close to 3 decades, while working as a Personal Trainer on weekends
2013: B.A. Women and Gender Studies—which strongly influenced my social justice and environmental justice activism
2000 & 2012: Volunteer work that required over 40 hours of training (with each organization) for Sexual Assault Prevention & Education as well as Domestic Violence Prevention Education
2018-2019: 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training and presently a member of “Yoga Alliance” RYT
2020: Full-time Health and Wellness Outreach Specialist for Behavioral Health Center—supporting health and wellness of our clients.
Each career path: Fitness and Healthcare as well as yoga requires ongoing and extensive Continuing Education Units to maintain certifications and licenses. My training is extensive and includes but not limited to: orthopedics and spine stabilization exercises, trauma-informed yoga, and “Mindful Yoga for Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, & Stress,” a training conducted by Cindy Beers, MS 500 ERYT & Thomas E. Fink, PhD.
2020: Donated time as a virtual yoga instructor for over a year
2022: Virtual yoga instructor as a subcontractor for Cindy Beers as well as provided assistance and support during Ms. Beers Kripalu workshop entitled, "Prana Yoga for Mental Health."
2023: Creator of Durga STRONG.
Students can expect me to be an active as well as a reflective listener. I always meet students where they are at and consider myself to be a support person who over time, empowers practitioners to be their own intuitive guide.

I will bring to the mat a sense of sensitivity, caring, professionalism and humor. I value authenticity and welcome yours.
I affirm that every human is deserving of respect, inclusion and grace. Remember, yoga is not about the pose, it's about using your breath to find balance, and becoming your highest version of yourself.
